The protein of choice for many tandoori lovers is chicken. Tandoori chicken is from the Punjab area and first appeared in the nineteen forties. Familiar spices including garlic, ginger, onion, and cayenne pepper add a rich and bold taste. While the base of this dish stays the same, some restaurants may accompany it with naan or other sides.

It pairs with protein, vegetables, lentils, or rice to create mild dishes or ones that bring the heat. Traditional spices in curry are – garam masala, cumin, and turmeric.
